Laura is a second time recipient of a recreation grant from CFLF. She used her first grant in 2012 to take zumba classes, which empowered her to exercise even while she was tired and pregnant with her first child. It helped her learn to take better care of herself without having any of the financial burden. Laura wants to be the best mom she can be for her daughter. "I want to have energy to keep up with my busy 1 year old and see her grow. That is why I take care of myself and have recently increased my respiratory therapy regimen." She used her recreation grant to get a gym membership for herself and her husband.
