David started doing martial arts when he was 10 . He also played sports in high school and he knows this is what kept him so healthy until he was diagnosed with CF at the age of 17. He works really hard to stay on top of all the new medications and treatments he must do. Martial Arts and working out has increased his appetite and helped him to gain weight over the years. “The discipline I have learned in martial arts has translated into all avenues of my life, from martial arts, school, and my health care regimen.” David used his recreation grant to continue his training in Muay Thai. He feels this grant will help him to relax more and not have to stress out about money, as he is on disability and can’t afford to do the thing he loves most.
