When Kristin finished high school she found it hard to continue exercising without the organized sports she had always taken part in. After moving to Indiana to be with friends and go to school she knew she could not financially support herself getting a gym membership. Her best friend and her tried to stay active and push each other but needed a gym environment to motivate themselves. She used her recreation grant to get a gym membership. She feels that this grant will help her to prove to everyone and to herself that she is a person and not a disease. “I will never give up, and these activities will keep my train of thought straight.”
