As a child Nathan was not able to participate in activities like football and basketball like the other kids his age because he was too sick. When he got older he knew he wanted to make some huge changes in his life to take control of his CF. He started getting into mixed martial arts and eventually rock climbing. These activities have transformed his life and brought him to a healthy and stable place where he can feel good about his life. Nathan used his grant to get memberships for him and his wife to an indoor rock climbing facility. He feels that rock climbing has greatly increased his lung capacity and function and have overall kept him in a steady place in his life. Having this grant will allow Nathan to live longer and be able to provide for his wife and family.
