When Sofia is dancing it allows her to forget about having CF, she just enjoys it. She finds moving to the music and not worrying about her breathing is like meditating. Sofia struggles with wanting to feel like a regular kid, but because of her medications and breathing treatments this is often hard to do. She has to plan her daily schedule around her breathing treatments, which is also hard for her at times. Sofia used her grant to continue taking dance classes. She feels having this grant will improve her life “Because dancing is great exercise for my lungs and helps me let out my worries and confusions.”
